Starts the 15th of this month.
I got me a bow and some lil pointy sticks. I may go try it out when it cools off and the new wears off the season a bit.
Till then, theres a young feller gonna hunt on my place. Says he gonna be out there at the butt crack of dawn. We'll see how that goes.

I hunted years agowith a bow. I did not have the modern bows they have now. I think it was a 40 pound. I was fair with it but hitting a ear from 50 feet or more is tough! I had a 10 point buck almost run me over but did not have the arrow in the bow and it was too late later! Beautiful in the woods in sept! I usually hunted by sound because of all the leaves!

Guess I'll hafta watch for hunters soon. Will be at my folks kitty-sitting while they're gone and don't wanna get stuck witha arrow while I'm out doing the watering! Last year we hadda problem witha guy who didn't understand what "No Tresspassing" meant.

Hope he doesn't mistake one of the kids for a deer. Happened here several years ago with a first time hunter from the city. Even went as far as to try to check it in at the deer check station. It was a nice size billy...Filled his tag out and everything..Then wanted me to issue him another tag because he made a "mistake". He did not get another tag and was issued a citation to take a hunter safety course before he could get another hunting license...
