Meet Daisy Dog! I dunno what kind she is other than Mutt. She was left tied to the bobcat at work. Some other friends took her home and decided she wasn't a cool house dog after tearin up the carpet padding. So she and me had perty much bonded when I would go visit. An I offered to give her a place to roam and chase cats and goats. She found out goats don't chase and most cats don't either. On the other hand she is cheap to feed cause she has found that goat shit is a delicacy. Least to her, it is. I ain't sure how old she is, but would guess at bout a year old. Hoping she calms down for too long. She's been handled some and was healthy when found. So not sure the reason for droppin her off. Unless she chewed up a carpet in her previous home. Gonna take her an get her fixed. Hopefully she'll make a good squirrel dog. Nuttin else, she'll clean up after the goats. Attachments:

She's really cute. Prolly dropped of by someone didn't want to take the time to work with her. Some people seem to think kids and dogs just drop outta the sky all trained to act proper.

Took Daisy out for a walk in the woods. I dunno if she'll take to squirrels or not. She doesn't venture very far away.
I don't think she's ever seen a creek before. She looked at it, then at me, then at the creek. I walked her down to where there was a path leading to it. She walked down an got her feet wet, then took off. Up an down the creek she went. Then up the bank. Did this about a half dozen times. Then she wanted to shake. Near me, no less.
I told her, "theres yer bath, lets go home". and so we went. Silly dog.

She'll prolly get more adventuresome when she figgers out she's not goin to get abandoned again. Didn't you know, ALL dogs want to shake when they're standin there wet and next to their humans! I think it's a genetic thing, ROFL

I think it's a universal doggy law that they must shake off on their masters....even if they hafta' run a quarter mile to catch up with ya after they've been in water, they'll wait till they're right there beside ya.....
least that's how all my dogs have done.....Gus has an additional thing he does sometimes and that's after he shakes off on me, then he rubs against my leg like i'm a towel or somethin'.........
Gus won't go into water over his chest and he doesn't like to swim....however, if we're at a pond and i can find a water-logged stick to toss in, it sinks but he'll stick his whole head under the water to get it.....i had visions of teachin' him to retrieve fish the first time i saw him do that.........
Dogs are wonderful....glad ya got one HB.

I agree nature, I think dogs are the best gift God ever gave to mankind. I've never had another animal show/give me the kind of loyalty and love that dogs have. Dogs are funny and wonderful. I just love the ears on HB's pup, LOL.

hahaha................
Thanks telly....
i knew those ears reminded me of something/someone, but couldn't pinpoint it.....but you're exactly right!.......
HB, with ears like Daisy's got, she's just gotta be related to yoda, so she's probably very wise....ya probably oughta' listen to and heed anything she says......
what am i sayin'?.... most dogs are wise... i've always trusted my dog's sense about people....if they don't like 'em = beware!...experience has shown i had better be very cautious around anyone dogs don't like...

if ya'd move out here quick, betcha you could get the the 3 that are unclaimed at the pound right now so you could make up for your months of doglessness out there where they obviously don't appreciate 'em properly........

Daisy sure is adorable! How sad to hear she was just dumped off, so to say. I hate it when people who do that! Dogs and cats have feelings just like we do, and when they're dumped or abandoned, they too are devistated and hurt just like we would be. Ohillbilly, have you considered taking Daisy to obedience classes. It would do wonders in helping to disipline your beloved pet.

Ah well, she hadda good home for bout two months. I didnt have the heart to mention that part. I tied her up when I went to work and let her off to chase cats an get chased by goats while I was at home. One day I went out to go to work and expected to see a bouncing dog greeting me and was no doggy. So I figgerd she'd show up when I started my truck. Nope. So when I pulled out on the gravel road, there she was. Roadside dog. Funny how them idjit speed racers cant hit a cat, but can sure hit a dog. Still had her collar on. Cept the plastic buckle was shattered. I dont figger she felt much.
I got my suspicions the cats had sumpthin to do with it. They didnt think much of her. They're tricky like that, yanno.

People that run them over should at least have enough balls to stop and let you know it was an accident. Some kids here in our town, drove up in a guys yard and ran his little tiny chihuahwa over, then when they got caught, said they thought it was a squrrel, don't matter if they want to run them down, then make em pay.
