you eat awfully well for a buzzard.... Not always, LOL. But when I cook a "regular meal", I try to make 4 servings and then I eat one that night, freeze 2 of them, and put the 4th one in the fridge for the next day. Unless it's stew or soup or "sketti" (haven't heard that in awhile SF, LOL). Then I just freeze the all leftovers in individual package servings to microwave when I want em. I have to do it that way as I've never learned to cook just 1 or 2 servings.

GC, I had cooked the ham hocks all night in the crockpot, deboned and defatted 'em, threw the meat back into the water they had cooked in, drained the beans that had been soakin' all night, tossed them in, along with a chopped up onion.......
let 'em cook all day.....added some salt and pepper when they were about done (read that beans will not get soft if ya add salt early in the cookin' process..don't know how true that is, but i just wait to add it since reading that)....and they were wonderful!
I like to crumble a little cornbread in the bowl, top it with beans put just a dab of honey in 'em...along with honey on the cornbread on the side......yum-yum! Who needs fried taters when ya got all that?!?
Although fried taters right now would be really, really good. Been a while since i had any homemade fried taters.......hmmm.....what's for dinner tomorrow?......

Wellll, let's see, it was a 6 qt crockpot, I ate bout 1 qt, so that's bout 5 qts left. Should be nuff fer everyone if HB don't come, LOL. I really think eatin lots of chicken soup helps ward off the sniffly cold crud, along with the vitamin C and a flu shot.
Besides the chicken and noodles, I put in shredded spinach (add that at the end), broccoli, carrots and cauliflower. If I got fresh squash, I put some a that in too. And spices!
