I've got one of those Chinese Roketa scooters and have had all kinds of trouble with it. I love driving it when it runs, but I haven't driven it in 2 years now and it needs a bunch of work done to it before I can. Probably going to have to, though, with gas so high. But the really expensive part will be updating the tags and insurance on it, if I can even find anyone now that insures them here. One thing I found out on it the hard way was NOT to use the nifty stereo on it. It has a radio and a cassette deck in it. BUT .... if you use it, it runs the battery down so fast that after you stop, get back on it, and try to restart it, it won't start. Yep, I want one of those 650s in a name brand.

The Chinese scooters are nothing but junk money pits. My neighbor has a Honda 600 scooter for sale. I would love to have it, but he wants 4800 for it, a might to rich for my blood, but is an exelent scooter.

Did you ever get it fixed and running? Maybe I should catch you not looking and see if the parts I need for mine still work on yours, lol. If you have parts come up missing, I didn't do it.

Hey hilly, I'll sell you my Honda Metropolitan 50cc scooter. I am quitting riding due to my right knee is starting to give me fits from a bike crash in 1972. Nothing wrong with it and the only thing I have had to do is change oil, clean filters. Runs perfect, burns no oil and has not needed any repairs. Great little scooter, 100mpg, 38mph top end.

Ummm, no. I ain't got it running yet. I did get the coil on after taking multiple parts off to get to one teeny lil screw. Now got the charger on it and makin no head way with the starting part. PM me a price Papa. I won't guarentee nuttin tho. I fixin junk vehicles and gettin the truck in a fellers shop here fore long. Talked to one last night that needs a truck bed. I will happen to have one left over when I'm done. Hopefully the cost of the new motor is gonna get cheaper. A couple three weeks ago I got a 92 dodge to drive. The tranny is already tryin to puke. So now I got an 80 dodge to drive. I think I gonna like it better in the long run. A slant six and gonna swap front seats with the 92 so my fishin poles will fit.

I am thinkin' I am going to have to learn how to work on my scooter because I can't seem to find anyone daring enough to try it. Although I make and create all kinds of things, vehicle mechanics has always seemed like an unlearnable language to me. I do know what yo mean, though, about having to take so many parts off to get to one little one. Probably why I can't find anyone to work on it. Toying with the idea of just selling it and cutting my loses ..... getting a bigger, nicer (namebrand) one when I can someday afford it. I sure do miss riding it, though, it was really fun when it worked.

I'm always afraid to take mechanical stuff apart, afraid when I put it back together I'll have parts left over! ;-/
