I hadda break out the crochet needles and my reading glasses the other night to undo what an onery catfish did to my fishin line. I know this aint really sewing related but I just hadda update the board to sumpthin from this year. But then it could be. Took me a better part of an hour to undo the series of knots.

Nope! I didn't bird nest it. I fish with a 3-way and had all three ways tied into a one way. Another fishie somehow fell thru the dip net and tangled everything up. But one of the kids was there and had good eyesight, so I let him untangle it.

Young eyes are invaluable in a situation like that.....good thing the kid was there to lend his eyes and hands.....

A good knife works just as well, faster and easier on the blood-pressure too.

Nay nay nay ole inexperienced catfishin person. Its just as hard for me to see to tie knots at two oclock at night as it is to undo knots. And, Ya really need ta have sumpthin else ta do while waiting for a bite. So unknitting a knot is as good as anything else ta do.

LOL, I had to put my glasses on just to read this. I use to hear people say that the older you go the longer your arms got. I thought that was so funny. Doesn't seem so funny now. All that knot untying sounds like me trying to comb out my hair after I have been out in the wind all day. Both are frustratin' You should post a video demonstration on how to get all those knots out. Bet it would get a lot of views!

Buzzy...HB is right....when ya pay $34.99 for a 300 yd. roll of good catfishin' line, as I just did at Bass Pro the other evenin', untanglin' knots doesn't seem too big a chore unless it is just simply hopeless.....ya tend to get sorta' funny about cuttin' the line.....

I can't help it, gotta say, it's not "crochet needles", it's "crochet HOOKS", if yer usin needles, yer usin knittin needles.
