I've had a cactus (my last one left after this last winter, the only one to survive all the snow and rain) for about 8 years now. It's not very big. I thought it was just a cactus. Found out a few weeks ago it's a night blooming cactus. ;D It puts out these funny looking stems with a pod on the end, then one night the pod blooms into a purty flower, kinda reminds me of a big white marigold type thing. Sad thing is, it only blooms the one night, then the flower dies. Was happy to see it's putting out more pods, so maybe this time I can get a picture of it when it blooms.

Cactus and Bloomers should not go in the same sentence.

Hadn't thought about that HB, it could be a prickly subject. ;-0 SF, I'll get the pics. New ones have a pinkish color to the pod, could be I'll get pink ones this time. Must have more than one color variety. As I remember, I had 3 cacti to start with. My son has a huge one, bout 20 times bigger cactus than mine, his are all white. He told me last night if these ones getting ready to blossom (is that better HB?) are pink, he wants some of them too.
