Me an Mudd went fishin after working on vehicle junk Thurday night/Friday morning. We both caught a couple gar and then I got a fun ride with this lil fishie of sumwhere tween 24-26 pounds. (gotta get some decent scales) Really put up a good fight. Lots more aggressive than them cold water blues. Stripped line several times off my lil reel. Course we had took along the small net. Was fishin off the bank. I wudda loved to tangled with this fishie in the canoe. I'd prolly still be playing tug of war with him.
Mudd later caught a dink bout 4 or 5 pounds.
Did discover sumpthin new to me. I stabbed myself in the thumb with the fellet knife while wrestling this fish. I just kept at it and noticed later that there wasn't any pain an I had stopped bleeding. I usually bleed like a stuck pig. I had read one time, that if ya get stabbed by a catfish fin that if ya rub said stabbed place on their belly, the pain would go away. I never had the chance to try it since I read it. But there mite be sumpthin to it. So next time ya get stabbed, rub some fish slime on it. ;D
