I spect this may apply to all types of predator fish. And having no such luck whatsoever fishing. Gonna havta change sumpthing. Soooooo,
After much contemplating I have decided one must fish where there isn't an abundance of shad.
Folks been tellin me they ain't never seen so many shad. I think there's the same amount as any year, its just they're inna much smaller pool. Same as the predator fish. Kinda like tryin to sell hot dogs atta buffet dinner.

Wishin' ya lotsa' luck testin' out your theory...can't wait to hear about and see pics of the big one ya catch....
On one of the kijillion sites I've read on catfishin', someone once said "the catfish are always bitin'...as long as the bait you're usin' is what they're hungry for..."...so yeah, if they have an abundance of shad, they likely aren't terribly enthusiastic about 'em when they're on a hook in the midst of schools of 'em....
Down here, I ain't hearin' about people doin' good out fishin' like I normally do, so I'm guessin' the same thing is goin' on at the lake not too far from me...haven't asked, but generally if fishin' is good, it's bein' talked about.
