Ya said paddlewheel houseboat and first thing I thought of was Dsmith's paddle boat she fishes from. I thought, thats too small for a house. I hadda go look. Nice, but BIG.
Maybe a paddle wheel barge with a recycled camper on it. Wud make more sense.

That would be very cool! And here in the sticks the pieces and parts to build it would probably be not too hard to gather...
Lotsa' old party barges and campers sittin' in fields. The paddle wheel might hafta' be improvised though. Not a lot of paddle wheels sittin' around. Although there are lotsa' farm implements rustin' in fields that might be able to be customized and fitted out to work as a paddle if someone was creative enough...

...and dsmith has a paddle boat?!? I am so envious!
I look at 'em every time I go to Sports Academy (once a year or so) and think "that'd be perfect for me!"...kayak would be too unstable for catfishin' I'd think. Although I did talk to a guy at the lake with a kayak outfitted for bass fishin'. He agreed it might not be the best catfishin' watercraft.
