Well for the last week Hubby & me have been working on a shooting shack. ( with the help of the monsters) If it is not raining tomorrow we should get it finnished up. I will have to take some pics and post em. It has been really simple to build . We are using the star plate system, and scrap 1 in. lumber that has been laying around. Hilly I got to thinkin ( yes that is quite dangerous) They would make some pretty good mini barns for your kids.... Or even some little campin cabins for your future campground. All ya need is a few dozen or so boards, 2x4s and some bolts & nuts. ya can make em any size ya want. ours is only 6 feet. shows one pic of a little calf in one, shoot iffin a calf can be comfortable in one so can a kid I will post pics hopefully tomorrow of ours... www.strombergschickens.com/starplate_building_systemwww.strombergschickens.com/starplate_building_system_roof_loadwww.strombergschickens.com/starplate_ideas

Here's the size estimator. www.strombergschickens.com/starplate_sizeI seen a cabin made outta this some years back online. Then seems like me and 12vman discussed this at one time. Be interesting to make a floor plan five sided.

Perty cool. Noticed ya hung the door the opposite from how they show ya on the examples. Ya spose that works any better or...??
I was lookin at the drawings and wonderin how big it would havta be to have a normal type door big enuff to get in and outta. Thinkin cabin here, not justa hidey hole.

well as for the door he didnt want a double door and we figured that it was on a nice inward slope it would be easier to close that way. worked out rather nice. used 3 hinges so it would hold up well. Went up today and I was toasty warm inside with a little buddy heater. gonna go up tomorrow and finish with the interrior got me some spray insulation for the cracks. Got a few more pics will add them in a bit....
