1 cup (2 sticks) margarine or butter, softened 2 cups firmly packed brown sugar 1/4 cup peanut butter 2 eggs 2 cups Quaker Oats (quick or old fashioned, uncooked) 2 cups all-purpose flour 1 teaspoon baking soda 1/4 teaspoon salt (optional) 1 14-ounce can sweetened condensed milk (not evaporated milk) 2 cups (12 ounces) semi-sweet chocolate pieces 2 tablespoons peanut butter 1/2 cup chopped peanuts (optional) Heat the oven to 350 degrees Fahrenhiet. Beat together margarine, sugar and 1/4 cup peanut butter until creamy. Add eggs; beat well. Add combined oats, flour, baking soda, and salt; mix well. Reserve 1 cup oat mixture for topping; set aside. Spread remaining oat mixture onto bottom of ungreased 13 x 9 inch baking pan. In medium saucepan, combine condensed milk, chocolate pieces and remaining 2 tablespoons peanut buter. Cook over low heat until chocolate is melted, stirring constantly. Remove from heat; stir in peanuts. Spread mixture evenly over crust. Drop reserved oat mixture by teaspoonfuls over chocolate mixture. Bake 25 to 30 minutes or until light golden brown. Cool completely; cut into bars. Store tightly covered. Yield: 32 Bars I am happy to say that my 1000th post was a Peanut Butter recipe!!! ;D

Well I am sadden to say that thier is no more PB in the house until further notice due to having to make all that fudge last evening So if cupcake is not seen on here for a while it is due to going into such a DEPRESSION that only PB can pull her out of And with the gas prices we wont be going to town until a much later date. I will try to keep everyone update on Cupcakes crisis.
