Here in my town the dumping is not so bad since you get a big fat fine if caught. Stupid people still sling crap out their windows tho, I find trash in my yard about every week...drink cans and bottles, paper, broken cds, and even a nasty pillow one time..wtf?! Think maybe a dog dragged that up. lol

Lord, the stuff, nasty stuff, that we used to get sent out to deal with when I was working. Glad I didn't have to clean it up.........but it wasn't any fun wading through it looking for something with the dumper's name on it. Had to go home and change clothes more than once.

I have picked up several items here lately. I know which days people set their garbage out in Milan and over the past couple of weeks I have got a set of car ramps, a nice Duncan phyfe table ( just needs one of the legs tightened up), a couple of wicker chairs, several pots and planters for flowers. I am running into competition though. Sometimes I will spot something and wait until I finish the route to go back and it will be gone. Dirty dogs.

It's been a good couple of weeks dumpster digging and going thru people's junk they have set to the side of the road.
Found a 48 piece set of glassware. Crystal on top of that. Had everything from the shot glasses up to the champagne glasses, the pitcher, stirrer, and drink shaker thing. It was all in a box sitting at the side of the road on the paper route. ;D
Found 2 nice concrete planters to go in the yard, a rug, and some odd and end things.

Here's a true story. My neice's husband(Scott) his grandfather passed away 2yrs.ago.His grandpa didn't believe in banks. He use to hide his money in his house.Scott & his dad were there doing some cleaning and throwing stuff out for garbage pickup. As the garabage men approached and started picking up these boxes of junk, the top box fell to the ground and opened. You got it,all together he had stuffed in boxes 750k and the garbage man was honest and reported what he had found.Scott's dad gave this man 25k for being honest. So you never know what you can find.Another man's garbage is another mans treasure.

Found a nice wicker swing yesterday morning. Hubby had to haul it in the truck. You can only fit so much in the back of a car.

Wish I could..... ;D Not really dumpster diving but my son saw me downtown yesterday morning washing the car and told me about a yard sale a couple of towns over. Some friends of his cleaning out an old house and selling all the stuff. Anyway went over there and got a truck load of stuff, all kinds of tables, oil lamps, those little minature ones and some fairly good size and some other odds and ends. Only .50 cents each for the oil lamps. I see another public auction here before long. Garage is full although we are selling next Friday at a weekly auction.

Sounds like that was a good yard sale.
Where will the auction be? I haven't been to one in ages. I used to like going even if I didn't buy anything.

It's up at Mckenize. Sorta a new place but word is crowds are large and people are there to buy.
There's one close to you sorta down there at Henderson. I think every Thursday nite. It's called The Swamp. Leave Henderson going toward Jacks Creek. I'll get the directions here in a day or two for ya. I never been. Hubby's been a couple of times.
