How is your sore body doing joyce? Hope you didn't break your wrist like you did your thumb! Wasn't the same hand was it? Could be sprained tho.

Soreness is alot better. Yea it was the same hand. Just a couple of fingers are still really sore and hurting. I think I just jammed em good. Glad nobody seen the fall or heard me afterward.

Always think, it could of been worse. One time I accidentally stepped on a piece of cardboard on the concrete floor at work. We had certain bars we had to wrap in cardboard to protect the surface during shipping. When I stepped on it, it slid and I ended up doing the splits. Now, funny thing is, I have always been real flexable but never was able to do the splits until then. I sure did walk funny for a few minutes after that.

That's the only way I can do the splits is accidentally. Got my mustard and turnip seeds in the ground a few minutes ago. Butternut squash are beginning to get ripe. Now that was quick. I think it was sometime the last of June when I planted them. I think I posted it somewhere in here. Anyway I think by the end of the month they will be ready to pull. The late beans I planted are blooming and have little beans on them. Course I am pouring the water to them every other day.

Planted the mustard and turnip patch last Friday. Got that rain on it over the weekend and Monday it was up from one end of the row to the other. 3 Days. I'm keeping it watered.

Well HB started this thread and we never saw the first picture of his garden this year. Been gathering the butternut squash. The late beans ain't worth a flip. Blooming like crazy but no beans on em. Well a few scattered ones, not enough for me to mess with. I will probably pull em up and till the north garden and just see if the mustard and turnip patch does any good.

Can't believe how the mustard and turnip green patch is growing. I will be picking mustard greens next week. ;D

Greens are doing good. Thinking about getting the tiller out and working some new ground, extending the north garden for next year, maybe making it 4 or 5 more rows wider.
