I love reading what y'all post. ;D I am so tired today. Started watering stuff before daylight this morning. Picked more green beans, got the rest of the taters dug, picked squash, sprayed the maters, dang red mites all over them. Canned more pickled beets this afternoon. Other than that hadn't done too much. Tomorrow will be a vacation day. I get to mow for 4 hours.

I don't know, froggie. I guess for one thing I so enjoy being outside in the summer and love my flowers and gardens. After the past year and half not really being able because of the cancer, I just feel God has blessed me with my health and for now being cancer free.
I totally lose myself outside, being with nature, planting and watching things grow and then knowing it's my job to put up what God has let come up and mature.
I don't kill myself out there, getting too old for that. I definitely take my breaks. Work awhile, come in scan the computer. I take my breaks.
I loving mowing the yard. Sitting on the riding mower and thinking about nothing. Let my brain rest. ;D

Thats a good way to look at it. I tend to stay indoors close to 90% of the time. Especially in the summertime. When I am outside I tend to like things that arent work, like picnics, bbqs, etc. & I wouldnt mow to save my soul. LOL Yea I know I'm a lazy chick.

Yea shes allergic to lots of insects & bugs. That would make me stay in if I was her. With me its more heat than anything & I hate chiggers.Plus I have plenty to do inside so tadpole & his daddy can take care of the mowing, etc. outdoor chores.

Yeah, I use to love mowing. But it hurts my knee now to push the pedal. Wish I had a man to mow for me.

I watered mine yesterday. I got my first ripe one yesterday too. I thought I had tommie toes...they are not. I just saw the pic on the little plastic thingie they have stuck in the dirt. Looked like tt's. They are container tomatoes. They don't get very big but they are not cherry tomatoes either. I am disappointed.

I wouldn't make him a cake.. He don't need 2 of em. ;D
I been watering this morning. I drowned the maters. Left water standing in the middles and around them.
Picked my first ripe cucumbers this morning.

At least I didn't have to water today. Checked on the carrots and went ahead and pulled the majority of them. They did good. I planted a late bed of them a few days ago. Shelley beans are beginning to get ripe so tomorrow I will start going thru them. Daddy decided he would raise summer squash this year even though I told him I had 5 hills of it planted. Well now he doesn't want to fool with it so I told him I would put it up for him and Momma. Went down there this morning.....I bet he had 40 lbs. picked. I been putting up squash all afternoon.
